Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Dick Vitale, college basketball’s top ambassador and author of numerous books knows a good thriller when he sees it!  I had the pleasure of speaking with Dick recently, and we discussed our meeting at the Final Four in Indianapolis in 1991 and the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball program.  I encourage everyone to support independent local authors and help Dick support The V Foundation for Cancer Research, founded by ESPN and basketball coach Jim Valvano.  Valvano’s message rings true to all of us regardless of the challenges we face in life:  “Don’t Give Up…Don’t Ever Give Up!”
