Kevin Kuhens is the author of the award-winning, bestselling political thriller Terror's Sword, the first novel in his series featuring elite U.S. government intelligence agent Kyle McEwan. His books are set against the backdrop of real-world events and global crises impacting America’s national security. The stories are packed with fast-paced plots, political intrigue, and dynamic law enforcement, military, and intelligence operations targeting and thwarting foreign and domestic threats.
Eagle’s Wrath, the sequel to his highly acclaimed debut novel, will be released in the near future.
A native of Louisville, Kevin began his sworn law enforcement career as a police officer in Kentucky, followed by a three-decade international career as a criminal investigator. Kevin served as a civilian supervisory special agent for the Office of Naval Intelligence, Naval Investigative Service (now NCIS), and the Pentagon’s criminal investigative arm, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS). His assignments spanned numerous mission areas, including conducting and supervising criminal, intelligence, terrorism, and task force investigations; acting as an undercover agent; directing covert operations; and performing domestic and foreign protective duties. These activities occurred inside the Beltway, across the U.S., and in two dozen countries. Following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, he deployed to the Pentagon to support recovery efforts there.
Throughout his career, Kevin supported the armed forces of the U.S. and numerous allies during overseas combat operations and multinational peacekeeping efforts, including a one-year tour of duty aboard the aircraft carrier Independence (CV-62), and during military operations in Grenada and Beirut. Kevin rounded out his law enforcement career as the DCIS Director for Training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, where he oversaw all facets of agent training, including firearms and defense tactics, for new and experienced criminal investigators.
